Grip Studs Screw-In Tire Studs | Traction in Ice, Snow and Dirt | 1000 Tire Stud

Helpful Tips
When installing Grip Studs® with the Grip Studs® driver tool, ensure the prongs on your tool are firmly seated in the notches in the studs. If the tool is not seated all the way in the stud, torque pressure can cause the installation tool to break. Grip Studs® tools are not designed to be used with impact drivers.

Probably about the best investment I could have made for work throughout the winter season. While others were having issues keeping the company issued devices on their boots I had no worries and did not have to stop and adjust. The traction was as though I was walking on dry dirt. I couldn't imagine bringing myself to order any other product besides grip studs in the winter season. Your company will always have my business in the future. Thank you for your great product.

I am constantly telling friends and colleagues about your studs and we use them a bunch here at my work (I am the Mtn Mngr for Alyeska Ski Resort). My winter work boots are studded along with my fat bike tires and I even ran some in my Goodyear Duratrac MT tires all through last winter and they performed fantastic even while towing my snowmobiles. You guys and gals put out a great product and I will keep telling anyone who could benefit from using them all about them. Thanks and keep up the good work.

I installed eight 1100 Studs in the heel of each of my Han Wag hiking boots. Every time I started to slide descending rugged trails in Central Nevada (both Arc Dome and Mt. Jefferson), the grip studs grabbed the surface. I stayed upright. It was so much better with the grip studs. I was able to stay off my toes and walk naturally with confidence even with a heavy backpack on gnarly trails. This is HUGE because a fall when hiking alone in such isolated places could easily result is a survival situation.

The studs are as advertised. The customer service was exceptional! The first set of studs I ordered were not quite right for my boots. After speaking with Walt (the technician) we figured out a different size to try which were a bit longer. They sent them out to me at no charge. Jeneva emailed me a return label to send back the original studs which covering the cost of the return postage. No fuss or questions asked. I ordered another 40 studs for another set of boots and for my wife.

I just wanted to let you know I love your studs! I bought 2 pairs of studded Orvis boots at $180 a pair, but I kept losing the studs. I even bought epoxy cement and glued them back in, but they still popped out. I am not your normal fisherman; I am constantly moving in the water on the rocks. Your studs did not come out, and they do not even look worn. I was a toolmaker for years, and I am very picky about my tools. Great customer service and great cost! Consider me a permanent customer!

I am glad that I found you guys on the internet. I was looking for a good ice stud to use in Renegade Brand hoof boots for our horses. We just got to try them out last weekend and I have to say that I felt that we were way more sure footed over winter terrain and I felt safe. I feel now that we will be able to get out and ride all winter long and we will use these even into the spring until things dry out.

We are a large oil-drilling operation, and last winter we did a test with Grip Studs boot studs compared to another brand of screw-in studs. The other brand started falling out of our boots within a couple of days, but Grip Studs stayed in with no problems. I have had Grip Studs in my boots since last February and they really stay put. I would like to place an order for more studs to send out to several more job sites.

I just wanted to share with you the success I have had with your 3000B studs in my horse polyurethane shoes. If anything would challenge the Grip Studs ability to stay put, it would be 1200 lbs of horse coming down on it repeatedly, over and over! :D I use Ground Control horseshoes www.plastichorseshoes.com and ride my foxhunter over very difficult terrain at speed. She requires more traction control than the shoes alone can give. Grip Studs provide the perfect level of control and performance. The studs have never come out of the shoes and are able to be removed and re-installed in new shoes when the shoes she is wearing, wear out. Some of the studs in her current shoes are on their second season! I'm very impressed. Thank-you for offering a product that gives my horse the traction she needs to keep us both safe in the hunt field!

Wader Boot Studs

Overall Satisfaction

Ease of Installation

In a word, awesome! I tried a combo of the 3000A and 3000B studs - (the shorter ones in the heel and the longer ones in the forefoot section of the boot). They work great if they are flush with the boot sole or "stick out" 1-2 mm. I used them on my Orvis Clearwater Vibram sole boots (7 studs per boot) and I waded 1/2 mile over slippery rocks in murky water (poor visualization) with a wading staff - no problems. I hiked back next to a set of railroad tracks on rocks and railroad ties - I did not lose a single stud (previously I lost almost all of my Kold Kutter screws in 1 day) You've got to get the word out on these things!

I've put a LOT of miles on my Grips Studs, and I'm thoroughly impressed. To be honest, I thought they would fall out. They don't. I also thought they would wear down. They don't. I've screwed a ton of different things into the bottom of my wading boots, and these are quite honestly, exactly what I was looking for all this time. These are the replacement for the single point, carbide tip studs that used to be available, installed from the manufacturer. They truly are excellent.

"I have attached the photos from my elk hunting trip in Reedsport. I did not have any boots to take hunting so I studded some hiking shoes and they worked perfect. I used 14 of the 3000B studs in each hiking shoe (total of 28). Surprisingly I did not feel the studs at all. I hiked about 6 or 7 miles and they all stayed intact. The hunt included many different types of terrain, such as steep mountain sides, wet moss, slippery mud, fallen trees and gravel. The studs helped keep me from slipping and made the hunt overall easier. Thank you for the studs they are fantastic!!"

Surf Fishing Studs

Overall Satisfaction

Stud Performance

Ease of Installation

These studs are unbelievable. I can not praise them enough. I am not sure if you have ever seen the kind of fishing we do. Sometimes it is 30 to 50 knot winds seas 6 to 8 feet with rogue waves up to 12. We swim out to rocks to get to deeper water where the bigger fish are and climb on the biggest rocks to be able to cast. The only thing that keeps you on the rock after you climb on it is your studs. They grip the rock and stop you from sliding off while you brace for the wave to crush you. All while reeling in fish. I'm a little off in the brain then most and fish in some nasty stuff and I can not count how many times I have come back to the beach after fishing and guys have said "how the heck did you stay on that rock" or "you looked like a seagull or a goat on that rock". I tell them the same thing every time "grip studs bud". There are plenty of other studs or cleats out there but they do not hold up. They either bend or fall out. Not these bad boys.

Our guys prefer Grip Studs over strap on crampons because they are actually part of the boot, so they are not a hassle to mess with. We use model 1100 and 3000B - the 3000B works great in deeper snow.

You really have a wonderful product. I shovel snow off roofs, and I rely on your boot studs. I put the 1100 studs in the toe area and the longer 3000B studs in the heel so I can really dig in when I need to. I gave the rest of mine to a friend, so I want to order some more today.
